Tunman from New York which killed four targeted the siege of the NFL

A shooter who killed four people in New York wrote a note before killing himself said he suffered from a brain disease related to contact sports, and he was trying to target the offices of the National Football League in Manhattansaid officials earlier during the day.
New York mayor Eric Adams told journalists that investigators thought that Las Vegas casino worker Shane Tamura was trying to enter the NFL Manhattan offices after shooting the building hall on Monday, but he took the bad bank of elevators.
In a handwritten note of three pages found in the drawer's portfolio, Tamura – who played football in high school in California – said he was suffering from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). He also wrote that the National Football League has covered the dangers of sporting sport for lucrative purposes.
According to the New York Police Service, Tamura wrote several times in the note that he was sorry. He also asked that his brain be studied after his death for CTE signs while referring to the former NFL offensive player, Terry Long, who was diagnosed with CTE before committing suicide in 2005.
New York police commissioner Jessica Tisch said Tamura had led across the country and in New York City just before the shooting. Surveillance videos have shown that Tamura coming out of a BMW early Monday evening and crossing the Place du 345 Park Avenue while holding a rifle before entering the building.
Once inside, Tamura opened fire in the hall, killing the police officer on leave Didarul Islam and striking another woman who tried to hide. He then headed for the elevator bank, shooting on a guard and another man along the way.
“He seemed to have first passed the officer, then he turned to his right, saw him and unloaded several laps,” said Eric Adams in an interview.
Tamura took the elevator to the offices of the 33rd floor of Rudin Management, the company that owns the building, where he pulled and killed a person before committing suicide.
In a press release, the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell described the shooting “an act of unspeakable violence”. He also expressed his gratitude for the police officers who responded to the shooting. Goodell added that the league will increase safety in and around the office building.
“Each of you is a precious member of the NFL family,” wrote Goodell. “We are going to go through there.”
