It was another frantic summer transfer window in the Premier League.

Clubs are still four weeks old before the window closed at 7 p.m. on September 1, but the race is underway to raise the players before the start of the season the weekend of 15/16/17/18/18.

Many cases have already been made – on each side of the club World Cup – and here we classify our five best purchases so far:

5. Anthony Elanga – Forest from Nottingham to Newcastle (55 million pounds sterling)

The Swedish international was a key member of the forest that made too much last season and will fulfill a problem of problem on the right side of the three frontal fronts of Newcastle.

The 23 -year -old scored six goals and added 11 assists while the men of Nuno Espirito Santo finished seventh last term.

Elaga will add rhythm and creativity to Tyneside, although he desperately hopes that compatriot Alexander Isak remains in St James' Park.

4. Jhon arias – Fluminense to wolves (a first £ 15 million)

An agreement that stole under the radar but, do not be mistaken, Arias is the real deal.

A Colombian international described as “one of the best players in South America” by the former boss of Brazil Fernando Diniz.

Arias was one of the star artists in the Fluminense race at the Club World Cup semi-finals before deciding to exchange Brazil for Wolverhampton. He created 18 chances in the United States, 50% more than any other player in the tournament.

It will be expected to fill the hole created by the move from Matheus Cunha to Manchester United.

3. Viktor Gyokerres – CP Sportif in Arsenal (a first £ 55 million)

Fans of the Arsenal man hope to transform the team of almost men into trophies.

The Swedish scored 97 goals in 102 appearances for Sporting, propelling them as Primeira Liga in his two seasons in Lisbon.

Arsenal is missing an attacker outside and out of exit for a certain time with the absence of a prolific scorer often quoted as the reason why they finished second for three successive first League campaigns.

Gyokerres did not come cheapEspecially since he is 27 years old, but he is tailor -made to prosper in northern London.

2. Granit Xhaka – Bayer Leverkusen in Sunderland (a first £ 13 million)

Xhaka finished 16th in the Ballon d'Or in October 2024, only five months after Sunderland had drink to a 16th finish in the championship.

At this point, no one could have imagined Xhaka, crowned 137 times by Switzerland, swinging on Wearside nine months later.

But the promotion of Sunderland, and the rupture on the side of Leverkusen that Xabi Alonso guided towards their first title of Bundesliga, changed the landscape.

The 32-year-old man returns in the Premier League only two years after leaving Arsenal and his experience and know-how prove to be invaluable for a team from Sunderland who was the youngest of the second level last season.

1. Milos Kerkez – Bournemouth in Liverpool (40 million pounds sterling)

Liverpool may have signed Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike but it's Kerkez who, in our view, will prove the thinnest acquisition of the lot.

The back of Hungary is Andy Robertson's natural successor on the left side of Liverpool and will seek to reproduce regular Scottish contributions to the team attack.

Kerkez provided eight assists during two seasons in Bournemouth, but expect this number to castigate the quality of the players around him in Anfield.

Fit, robust and energetic, the 21 -year -old checks each box of a team of machines in Arne.
