Galatasaray Smash Turkish Transfer Record to sign Victor Osimhen de Napoli

Galatasaray broke the Turkish transfer record to complete the permanent signature of striker Victor Osimhen on a long -term Napoli agreement.
The Super Lig champions concluded an agreement with the Serie club for 75 million euros (65.36 million pounds sterling) for the 26-year-old, beating by a certain distance the previous Turkish record set by Fenerbahce, who acquired the services of Youssef En-Neyri de Seville for 20 million euros last summer.
The Nigerian international, who spent last season on loan in Galatasaray and, with 37 goals, became the most scored foreign player in one season in Türkiye, wrote a four -year contract.
As part of the agreement, 10% of the future costs of Osimhen's next transfer will be paid to Napoli, Galatasaray confirmed.
Unusually, the club has also revealed exactly the amount of Osimhen will be paid. A declaration on the club website can be read [£13m]A net loyalty bonus of 1 million euros [£860,000] per season, and 5 million euros [£4.3m] per season for image rights.
Vice-president of Galatasaray, Abdullah Kavukcu, also said that Osimhen had chosen to sign for the club despite the reception of the offers “no other player abandoned”.
Friday, Kavukcu told Turkish Media: “We have never compromised our position and we showed our strength.
“Thank goodness, we signed Victor without creating debts for the future. This is an incredible source of pride for all of us. On the contrary, we recorded the Victor contract as a capital in the Galatasaray chests.
“Think about it: it is difficult to express how much, but the amount that Victor has abandoned to come here is really huge. He has abandoned a sum that no other player never gives up, and we are happy to have it.”
