Rio NGUMOHA: LAMIMINE Yamal from Liverpool?
The former prospect of Camplea Ngumoha joined the Liverpool Academy in September 2024, scoring two goals in eight assists in the Premier League 2 last season and making six matches of the UEFA Youth League.
Jason Mcateer, who made 139 appearances for Liverpool between 1995 and 1999, believes that Ngumoha could resolve a future transfer head.
“When you look at the way the transfer windows opt for this type of player, we have spent [up to] 116 million pounds sterling [Florian] Wirtz, ”said former right back Mcateer LFC TV.
“Over the seasons, it will only increase and you will look at 120, 130, 140. In two or three seasons, when he is 19 years old, and probably before that, when he is ready to enter as the regular team, this will save them 130 million.

“It can be intimidating when you move into a first team environment, but it is flourishing. I don't put it up there with [Barcelona’s Lamine] Yamal – Certainly not – but if you are good enough, you are old enough.
“It is of vital importance that Liverpool produced the Academy's talent season after the season. The path of the talent of the Academy is there if they have the opportunity. He is a very, very special boy.”
Harvey Elliott: NGUMOHA “Incredible”
Harvey Elliott, who knows the expectations during a Liverpool career who started with the winger starting an EFL Cup match at the age of 16 in 2019, called Ngumoha “Fearless”.
“He showed that Against AC MilanOne of the major European teams, “said Elliott.” He looked like a child in a park, although he was a child. He just needs to continue like this.
“We try as much as possible to help him. If he continues to achieve the way he is and work hard, the child has an incredible future.
“I am really excited to see where things go. I myself and the young guys are closer to him.
“It is important that young boys are around him and take care of him, which we have done. Do not leave him aside – bring him to the team and make him feel really part. ”
NGUMOHA: Andy Robertson an inspiration
NGUMOHA, who began the home victory of Liverpool 4-0 against accrington Stanley in FA Cup on January 11, called his display against Yokahama “a very big evening” and “just the first of many”.
“I will continue to work hard and show the manager what I can do,” he said, attributing Andy Robertson to “help me really”.
“He is so experienced and one of the best left rear in the world. I want to have it behind me, you can't really ask anything more.
“He tends me a lot. [For the goal] I think they lost the ball, then Robbo passed it to me. In my mind, I thought “can I score?”, Because I had a chance the last time.
“My brother is the greatest person in my life – him and my mother – and he is definitively buzzing. I am not trying to rush because I am still only young.
“At the same time, I want to show the manager what I can do and not become too complacent, because I want bigger and better things for me and the club.”

Rio NGUMOHA loan displacement: “You can get lost”
Neil Mellor was prolific for Liverpool in the level of young people, but did not establish himself as a first -choice striker during his stay at the club between 1999 and 2006.
“Decisions must be made with these young players, whether training with those under 21 or the first team,” said Mellor.
“Where will his playing time be?
Mellor feels that Ngumoha should not be ready. “I am a big believer that someone who is as talented as it must learn the standards for what is expected at the Liverpool Football Club,” he said.
“Training every day with the best players in the world would be massive for its development. If he took care of someone like, I don't know, West Brom in the championship or Southampton, you can get lost or go back a little. It is not suitable for everyone.
“I think it is in the right place and in the right environment, where this football club is, to be able to say” I could be necessary, in a year or two years, to play in the first team “.

Wirtz and Salah make the teammates “Best”
NGUMOHA was a month younger than Elliott when he appeared against Accrington, although he was second behind Jerome Sinclair – who was 16 and six days old against West Brom in EFL Cup in 2012 – as a younger club player.
“Children of 16 years ago who come well and who are adaptable to their environment,” suggested Mcateer.
“He is one of them, I think. It is difficult because he is a very, very talented player, but he is 16 years old. When I speak of” if you are good enough, you are quite old “- it's in a world of football maturity.
“In life, there is an immaturity about it because it is 16 years old. It is not critical. There is a lot to learn – we all had 16 years.”
Mcateer also thinks that Ngumoha should stay there. “He needs to protect, in this sense, to stay at the club rather than dealing,” he said.
“If he was 19 years old … I would put him on loan to Blackburn or somewhere.
“With tastes of Wirtz and [Mohamed] Salah, he will only improve and ripen this season when he is. »»
