Lions-Falcons pre-season game suspended after Morice Norris Buthury

The pre-season match of the NFL of Detroit Lions with the Falcons of Atlanta ended sudden and emotional Friday evening after the security Morice Norris was removed from the field in an ambulance following a serious injury.
The incident occurred with 14:50 to do in the fourth quarter at the Mercedes-Benz stadium, while Norris was trying to drop the recruit of Falcons Nathan Carter.
The 24 -year -old defender went into the lawn and stayed there while the medical staff quickly rushed to his aid.
Norris received treatment on the ground for about 20 minutes before being placed on a stretcher and carefully loaded in an ambulance. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta for a more in -depth assessment.
The Lions later confirmed that Norris was in a stable state and had “feelings and movements in all its ends”, offering a relief measure to teammates and fans.
At the time of the injury, Detroit held an advance of 17-10. With 6:31 to play, the head coach of the Lions Dan Campbell and the head coach of Falcons Raheem Morris agreed to end the competition early.
“Raheem is the ultimate class law,” said Campbell. “We agreed that he did not just feel to finish this game. It is a revelation. It strikes a little different and puts things into perspective. The silver lining is the brotherhood – to see the two teams meet and think of another player means a lot.”
The decision was welcomed with the support of the players on the two sidelines. The Lions quarter-arre, Kyle Allen, said that he was clear from the moment the coaches called for a stretcher that the situation was serious.
“Usually you see a few trainers there. It's never good when they bring out the civilians,” said Allen.
“We just started to pray for him and hope for the best. When it takes so long and there are a lot of people around him, you just know that it is not worth continuing to play.”
The receiver of Falcons Casey Washington echoes these feelings. “It's someone's life, and it's bigger than football,” he said.
The Lions should provide other updates on the state of Norris in the coming days while they are preparing for their next pre-season release.
