This week in Business Tech News
Business Technology News No. 1– Chatgpt-5 is there.
GPT-5, which was introduced this week, is the flagship of Openai, which is now chatting that API and Microsoft Copilot. It represents a uniform system that dynamically adjusts its argumentation performance to tasks such as coding (“vibe coding”), mathematics and software development and eliminates the need for manual between model variants. GPT-5 delivers faster, more precise and reliable reactions with fewer hallucinations and an increased fact. It supports the multimodal interaction – text, image and voice – and brings personalization improvements such as customizable “personalities”, color topics and integrations with Gmail and Google calendar. While it is not AGI, GPT-5 offers remarkable steps towards artificial general support by providing natural, context-related and personalized interactions. (Source: Openai)))
Why is this important for your business:
It was a two -year wait, but early reviews say it is worth it. No business owner should be without a good chat bot companion, be it chatt, Claude, Copilot, Grok, Gemini or others. The biggest advantages of GPT-5 at least for me-is the accuracy. I already use a few chatbots to check contracts, to summarize long documents, to analyze through interview transcripts and to help me create guidelines and other business documents. I will lean more on GPT-5 in the coming months and expect his performance to be so much better.
Business Technology News No. 2 – Epicor expands the cognitive ERP functions to optimize the supply chain and control management.
Epicor has announced strategic partnerships with Sourceday and Sovos to improve its kinetic ERP platform for manufacturers, which, according to companies, will help promote Kognitive ERP to AI-powered approach, which enables ERP systems from passive record tools in proactive, intelligent systems of actions that enable real data analysis with real Convey data analyzes. Sourceday integration automatically and digitizes the entire order life cycle and improves the cooperation of suppliers and data accuracy. Why is this important for your business:
Epicor, like many great ERP system providers, not only improve your AI offers, but also partner companies to fully use the advantages of AI. Too many small and medium -sized companies ignore these advantages that they don't have enough time to implement them and I could no longer agree. Learning how to use these functions and then invest the time and resources in the company has considerable long -term effects on both productivity and profitability. Regardless of whether you use EPICOR, it is important to deal with the functions and functions that your business system provider uses (or plans) and supports you.
Business Technology News No. 3 – Zuckerberg: Superintelligence is now in sight.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, published a contribution that shared the vision of Meta to “bring all personal superintelligence”. Personal superintelligence-one deeply personalized AI assistant, who is intended to help individuals achieve their goals, promote creativity and improve the social connection to it-a shift from productivity-oriented AI and chat. Meta aims to deliver superintelligence through Smart glasses and AR/VR headsets that become the “primary computer devices” of the future. (Source: Meta)))
Why is this important for your business:
“Superintelligence has the potential to start a new era of personal authorization in which people will have a larger agency to improve the world in the instructions they choose,” said Zuckerberg. Here is my concern: nobody really knows what that means. I am not sure whether Mark Zuckerberg knows the full effects of superintelligence at all. I will not yet predict what superintelligence means for business. Because like everyone else, I do not fully know the effects!
Business Technology News No. 4 – FBI warns of a certain fraud with QR codes.
The FBI has published a public warning about a new fraud in which criminals send unexpected packages with malicious QR codes to steal personal data or install malware. Packages are sent to recipients who do not give up the order. Inside or on the package there is a QR code that apparently offers tracking information or delivery check. Scanning the code can either redirect the recipient to phishing websites or request them to enter personal/financial information. Malware can also be downloaded to the device with which the QR code is scanned. (Source: Digital trends)))
Why is this important for your business:
According to Trevor Mogg from Digital Trends, this is a dangerous turn for the older “brush fraud”, in which providers sent undesirable objects to increase fake reviews. Now the goal is data theft and fraud. The FBI advises the people not to scan QR codes from unknown packages or sources. Check packages carefully; Preview QR links with suspicious URLs; And safe devices with antivirus software.
