PSG should confirm 57.1 million pounds sterling Bournemouth Defender Complete Medical
Paris Saint-Germain should end the signature of Ilya Zabarnyi after the defender of Bournemouth finished his doctor with PSG.
After having agreed conditions on a five -year contract with holders of the Champions League, Zabarnyi will now join PSG and become their first external field signature of a silent summer for the Luis Enrique team.
The goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier finished his move from Lille on Sunday and seems to be installed as the new PSG number one, with Gianluigi Donnarumma left their team aside for UEFA Super Cup Match with Tottenham on Wednesday.
Zabarnyi follows Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez by leaving Bournemouth for new pastures. The central back Huijsen joined Real Madrid while the Kerkez left rear signed for Liverpool.
The departure of the Ukrainian international puts Bournemouth in a difficult situation, with the manager Andoni Iraola conceding to the reality of the situation when he was addressed to BBC Radio Solent after their last pre-season friend against Real Sociedad.
“We need two new central defenders,” said Iraola. “It will be impossible to replace those who left but the best central defenders we can find, the club works there.”
How will Bournemouth replace Zabarnyi?
Although Iraola has mainly described Zabarnyi and Huijsen as irreplaceable, Bournemouth should fill the void.
Cherries would be able to conclude an agreement with Lille for Bafode Diakite.
Diakite is expected to arrive for initial costs of 30.3 million pounds Sterling plus 4.3 million pounds sterling in additional modules. The 24 -year -old joined Lille de Toulouse in 2022 and made 85 appearances for the club since then, with 10 times in his Champions League campaign last season.
Anxious to sign a second central defender, Bournemouth would also be an admirer of Josh Acheambong de Chelsea.
When does Zabarnyi make his debut at PSG?
Zabarnyi presented 86 times all competitions for Bournemouth after joining Dynamo Kyiv in January 2022.
But he could make a brief expectation to make his debut at PSG once his signature has been announced.
This decision arrives too late for Zabarnyi to be involved in the Super Cup, while the operator of the Ligue 1 of Sunday in Nantes is also likely to represent too tight of a turnaround.
The first home game of PSG of the new season, which sees them against Angers a week on Friday, seems to be the scene of the beginnings of Zabarnyi.
