England Fast Bowler Mark Wood aims for a return to action with Durham in the county championship in September before the Ashes series this winter.

Speaking more of his plans before the ashes, Wood said: “I said to [England head coach Brendon] McCullum I can't just lead a net for four months, I will go crazy.
“There is a bowlingal camp in Loughborough in a tent – go there to Perth – then I will go early to Perth with a few quasters.
“We will arrive about a week earlier to prepare and acclimatize.”
Wood picked up 14 counters in three games in the 2-2 ASHES draw in 2023 and its global test record against Australia is 41 counters in 11 games at 27.48 on average, with 6-37 figures from 6-37 to Hobart in January 2022.
