Man UTD to repeat the 1992 Ligue Cup final jacket from 1992
We remember the 1992 League Cup final for two things from Manchester United.
First of all, he marked the very first triumph of the club in the competition, while the Red Devils were on the front of Old Wembley Stadium. Second – and perhaps just as affectionately – it has given the world that A pre-match jacket, a Technicolor temporal capsule of football fashion in the early 90s.
Although the match itself cannot be replayed, the jacket can be returned – and Manchester United, alongside Adidas, does exactly that, the restaurant in all its retro glory for a new generation of fans and fashion aficionados.
The design is pure vintage: a black base with vibrant turquoise sleeve panels and a daring abstract pattern in black, white and green through the lower half. It is finished with a classic adidas text logo and a special commemorative ridge reading: “Ligue Cup final, Wembley 1992.”

Football titles Indicate that the reissue is expected in the first half of 2026 – and it will not be the only explosion in the past. The legendary “Snowflake” shirt from United from 1990 to 1992, carried in the final itself, will also return.
