“What I want to do when the ball stops bouncing”
Sophie Cunningham has increased in fame this season after its performance with Indiana fever. However, it has since been sidelined with a torn MCL, which will distance it from the basketball court until the end of the season.
In an interview with the New York Times, Cunningham revealed its post-retirement plans, alluding to a possible career in the media and advertising.
“I think it may open perhaps what I want to do when the ball stops bouncing,” said Cunningham.
Cunningham obtained numerous sponsorship agreements following an incident in which she defended her teammate, Caitlin Clark, during an altercation involving players from Connecticut Sun.
The incident has earned its massive popularity not only among fans of fever, but also through the Wgb.
She has published advertisements for Ring, Arby's, among others, in the weeks following the altercation.
Cunningham also launched a podcast in July in addition to certain broadcasting and social media works for WNBA and NBA.
Cunningham raised an average of 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 interceptions per match in 30 appearances this season.
Sophie Cunningham becomes frank on the tag “Enforder”
Sophie Cunningham was considered the Fever“Enorder” after the incident with Clark and the sun. In an interview with the Arizona Republic, Cunningham was frank on its label.
“I was laughing because I don't really consider myself an executor,” she said. “I'm just someone who will always defend myself, for my teammates, and I will always be a team in a team.
“When I did this, I read things of people who said to themselves:” Oh, she did it because she knew she was going to get (more followers and mentions). “No. I didn't know it was going to explode.
With his injury, however, Cunningham should return to the action next season, if it is signed for an extension with fever.
