Slovakia 2-0 Germany: Slovakies stun the German giants

It was no more than Slovakia deserved after an impressive first half screen that also saw saving denied by a smart backup and Duda hits the post.

Germany, disjointed and lacking in intensity, created a handful of opportunities through Florian Wirtz and Maximilian Mitelstadt, but Martin Dubravka was held firm to preserve Slovakia's advance at the break.

All hope of a German revival was crushed ten minutes in the second half. Strelec produced a magic moment, twisting Antonio Rudiger on the edge of the box before curling a superb strike of the left foot in the most distant corner. The stadium broke out while Slovakia has doubled their advantage.

The team of Julian Nagelsmann pushed late, Nadiem Amiri missing a gold chance at close range, but Slovakia remained firm to record a famous night

Their pressure was told in the 28th minute when Dumfries marked without scoring at the distant post to go in the corner of Memphis Depay, giving the Oranje a deserved lead.

Poland created shortly before half-time, Piotr Zielinski and Sebastian Szymanski shooting at a distance, but they stayed in the game and grew up in the second half. The Dutchman continued to support, with Xavi Simons and Depay who get closer, but their inability to kill the game was expensive.

Ten minutes of time, money jumped on a loose ball at 25 meters and sparked a thunderous strike in the upper corner, surprising the crowd of Kuip and winning Poland a precious point.
