Jamie Vardy bites the Italian journalist in a first interview as a criminal player
Whether it's liquidating the opposition fans, whistling the whistle of a referee or dropping liners in press conferences, Jamie Vardy has always been one of the great characters in football.
And in his very first interview as a criminal player, the 38 -year -old striker showed exactly why.
Vardy, who joined the side of Serie newly promoted by a year after leaving Leicester City, was questioned about his age and motivation during his unveiling.
“In Italy, we are a little skeptical about players as you approach 40 years. We tend to say, where is their motivation, how good are they? What do you say in response to skeptics? ” asked for a journalist.
Vardy's response was as clear as his finish.
“You have to be one of the skeptics,” he said. “You are one that I will have to prove wrong.”
He added: “Age is just a number. As long as my legs always do exactly what they were and felt as fresh as they do, I will continue. At the moment, there is no sign of slowdown, so I will continue. I'm going to give everything for this club.”
Crémonais, who challenged the expectations of last season to win a promotion, started to shine and sit together from Serie A after two games.
Vardy could make his debut this Saturday in a blockbuster confrontation in San Siro against Inter.
It's time for Vardy to put his money where his mouth is – although if his career so far has taught us something, it is because the skeptics should be worried.
“You must be one of the skeptics, you are one that I will have to prove the wrong” 👀
