Ryan Reynolds gives a donation of £ 10,000 to the fundraising of the Wrexham adolescent

Wrexham's co -owner Ryan Reynolds donated £ 10,000 to a fundraising campaign for Lexi, 13, a courageous girl from Wrexham, who fights a rare and aggressive form of heart cancer.

Lexi Collins was diagnosed with the disease in June and has already undergone two open heart surgeries, had an adjusted cardiac stimulator and currently receives intensive chemotherapy.

Despite the challenges, Lexi's dream is to visit New York this Christmas – a wish that is now closer to becoming a reality thanks to the support of the community.

The initial fundraising was created by the Lexi family and supported by Wrexham Police FC, which launched its clean gofundme page To help finance your dream trip. With a generous generous donation of £ 10,000 from Reynolds, the original target of £ 20,000 has now been achieved.

The Wrexham Police FC shared the exciting news, saying: “A big thank you to our friend @vancityreynolds for showing his incredible generosity again. Because of her support, Lexi will go to New York when she feels good enough. All the heroes do not wear capes, she carries a red and black suit.”
