The Wolves obtained the future of striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, who signed a new contract keeping him in Molinine until 2030, with the option of an additional year.

The extension comes only a few months after the Norwegian international has made Celta Vigo permanent move, following a productive loan in which he scored 14 goals.

Its form was sufficient to arouse significant interest in summer, wolves rejecting offers of 50 million pounds sterling and 55 million pounds sterling from Newcastle United.

Manager Vítor Pereira praised the news as a major boost for the club.

“It is very important – if we want to increase our level, if we want to give others a step to another level, we need this type of player.

“It is not only tactical and technical, it is on mind and personality. It is very important to us and it is very good news for us.”

Wolves paid 23 million pounds sterling to sign the attacker squarely after his loan success, which helped the team narrowly avoid relegation by finishing 16th in the premier league campaign last season.

Although he has not yet appeared in the League this quarter due to an Achilles problem, the 25 -year -old scored twice in the EFL Cup victory on West Ham before being sidelined.

His return is awaited impatiently while the wolves, still without victory and at the bottom of the table after four consecutive defeats, are preparing to face Leeds in Molinine this weekend.

Strand Larsen's commitment comes to the back of Pereira which also writes a new three -year agreement on Thursday.

The attacker had been in talks with the club since the summer, and his manager thinks that the agreement is coming to the perfect time.

“Football is not a matter of insurance, it is confidence, hard work, day by day. These are work, character and commitment.

“If you are here and you see the work every day, you can enjoy someone's work.”
