The headlines of this year are evidence of that mission: Tiffany Evans, a platinum-nomine, and Jai'len Josey, and ruined the Grammy® nominey songwriter and rising processing or “the future of the soul.”
In an exclusive conversation with Bossip's high possession, Lauryn BassThe two artists shared why the love scene is more than a concert – it's a cultural reset.
“The lineup is annoying”: Why the love scene matters
For Josey, the night feels like a family reunion.
“I look forward to performing with people I sing since 2020 and share a stage with Tiffany Evans,” she said. “People need to expect some of the best voices. If I tell you that this lineup is nasty, the lineup is nasty.”
Evans Eched the excitement.
“Everyone on this team has set as much work,” they noted. “It is dope for Atlanta and for up-and-coming artists that require a platform. Expecting the love of music to be in the room and everyone closure.”
Both praise the production value of the show and vision.
“The music director set a flair on everything. It will be beautiful love in each set and sound,” Josey added.
Speaking the truth on the current state of R & B
Beyond First Love, is the love also is an answer to the industry-broadly debate on where R & B next goes.
Evans don't hold back.
“I hate the algorithm. We are impressions to shoot any more than art,” she said. “You need to make out of the heart, not because you are told or try to copy someone else. I still love music for the art, not the trend.”
Josey agreed, recalled, how easily difficulties felt creativity before metrics dictated scope.
“No one is really gunning for talent. People gunnesday now for numbers, and it is difficult to get your breakthrough,” she explained. “But if you believe in your music someone else will be in different else in.”
Both women lined how shorter tense tense and bite-sized songs made Lyricism and substance rare.
“If you have low messages you will feel empty, 'Evans warned. “We have to throw in our lives in our lives in our lives,” them added. “Music can change the way people in these times.”
Josey connected to how people consume content:
“Everybody's attention tense are so short. You must have people fast. But the song is three minutes if they fall in love and talent, someone else will enter.”
Genre-bend without losing the essence
Both artists also see the loving or evidence that R & B's future is located in freedom, not formulas.
“R & B is in a state at present where you are able to see,” Josey said. “It can be Indie, it can be pop, but it still has the essence of R & B on his core. I do my own form of R & B Unapologetic.”
Evans added that the series of the genre should inspire his wealth of the genre – not limiting – the next wave.
“Nostalgia is large because people miss substance,” she said. “But you can go ahead and still create that feeling. If it's okay is fine.”
What is next for the headlines
Both artists use the love scene as a creative springboard.
Josey revealed,
“I put another single before the end of this year after my first album, serial romantic. It's all building to my Halloween birthday and introduce people to this new body.”
Evans shared a similar promise to stead stead releases.
“I'm getting used to sounding music and not to sit up. Finally, it leads to an EP,” she said a video for her recent single “you understand me.”
Be when R & B Flits Center Stage
With Powerhouse vowels, intentional curiation, and a mission to try and evolve real r & b, the love scene is more than a show – it's a statement.
If Evans put it,
“If you have gift and talented, the door eventually will open for you.”
Josey believes that this night is one of that doors.
“This lineup is annoying,” she said with a smile again. “Expect the love expect the music expecting to fill.”
