Hearts 1 – 0 Hibernian
Craig Halkett marked a winner of arrest time while Hearts beat the rivals of the hibernian city 1-0 in Tynecastle to increase five points clearly at the top of the Scottish Minister.
The first publisher derby of the season had been strongly excited in construction, but an attrition affair in the swirling wind seemed to end tirelessly after the captain of the Hibs Martin Boyle missed two major chances in the second half.
There were euphoric scenes among home support at the end, however, after Halkett forced a crossing of the replacement Sabah Kerjota to ensure a first victory over Hibernian in five attempts.
It was the third time in seven championship matches this season that the crawling team of Derek Mcinnes had marked a winner of arrest time.
The jambos – which have not lost in the premiere since the last match of Neil Crichley in charge at the end of April – is now boasting of their biggest advance at the top of the table, because they were clear in October 2018, although the Celtic champions had the possibility of reducing the deficit when they welcome Motherwell on Sunday.
Mcinnes sent the same hearts XI who started the two previous victories against the Rangers and Falkirk.
There were two changes in the side of the Hibs that started their 0-0 draw at Celtic Park while Chris Cadden and Josh Campbell replaced Miguel Chaiwa and Jamie McGrath.
Halkett and Boyle both had opportunities at the start, but thereafter, the only other attempts at a generally frantic first half were distance.
Jordan Obita, rear-dos of Hibernian, saw a volley on the edge of the deflected box largely in the 20th minute before the winger of the Hearts Alexandros Kyziridis flows from the left and turns up to the range similar to his objective of wonder against Falkirk a week earlier.
Kyziridis had his tail and after winning a free kick just outside the box on the left, the Greek collapsed in a low blow that was saved by Raphael Sallinger's leg.
The match continued in a closely confronted and confronted manner at the start of the second half, but began to open after the hour.
Boyle was landing on the verge of breaking the dead end in the 62nd minute when he passed through the goal and exploited a delicious effort on the advances Alexander Schwolow, but the ball came from the underwear.
At the other end, the low blow of Claudio Braga on the edge of the box was saved by Sallinger after Hibs was surprised playing, before Obita made a vital backup challenge to refuse Lawrence Shankland at close range.
Boyle saw an effort excluded for the offside in the 68th minute and the Hibernian striker was again frustrated five minutes later when he passed clean and took a heavy touch, allowing Schwolow to make a big stop.
This turned out to be crucial when defender Halkett arose two minutes after stopping time to guide the crossing of Kerjota from six meters, causing delicious scenes around Tynecastle.
