Tommy Fleetwood has been one of the most successful golfers at the DP World India Championship so far. After the third round, he has a total score of 15 under par and is second in the standings, just two shots behind the leader. Keita Nakajima. After a successful third round, Fleetwood addressed various topics at the post-round press conference, and also revealed his biggest supporter there.

The English golfer was asked at the conference what he thought of his son, Franklin or Frankie Fleetwood, who constantly copies his father on the course and imitates every shot the golfer plays. Tommy Fleetwood claimed that during the journey he was unable to notice his son more, but he is aware that Frankie is his biggest supporter.

Fleetwood added that Frankie is very interested in golf, and while the young child has many other favorite golfers, he is inclined toward his father. The golfer said (quoted by ASAP Sports):

“I try not to focus too much on that. He's my biggest supporter, and yes, my family is my biggest motivator and inspiration if you will. They give me that, so I love having them here to support me. It's amazing to watch Frankie grow up and how interested he is in golf, how biased he is. There are a lot of players that he really likes, but he's very biased towards his dad, so I'm very happy about that.”

Fleetwood said his family is the main reason he is constantly pushed to achieve good results on the course. Even when he makes a mistake on the course and sees his child become sad, Tommy Fleetwood tries to keep his emotions under control and strives for a better result.

In the final round of the DP India 2025 World Championship, Tommy Fleetwood faces two key challenges: Keito Nakajima and Shane Lowry. All three are in contention to win the tournament, and when asked what he thought about it, Fleetwood said he wasn't looking to outdo other players, but rather to better control himself and his emotions.

The golfer explained (quoted by ASAP Sports):

“I'm really going to try to stay as present as possible, control my emotions, control my thoughts and really control my golf ball. That's all I can do. Obviously, everything they do is up to them. I'm looking forward to the challenge. Again, it's great to have incredible players competing. Every time you get to this point in the tournament, the guys that are around you with a chance to win are playing great golf, so you know they're going to be good play. “

Tommy Fleetwood has already won a big tournament this season (the 2025 FedEx Cup), and a victory on the DP World Tour could be a big boost to his season.
