Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez to have ruled feud rumors after Haile made comments about the beauty space in her cover story with WSJ Magazine.
Selena took to Instagram on October 17, asking fans to “just leave the girl alone,” adding that “she can say what she wants.”
“Doesn't affect my life. It's just about relevance, not intelligence. Be nice. All brands inspire me. There's room for everyone. And hopefully we can all stop,” she continued.

Are Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez Fighting?
The Hailey-Selena saga has been bubbling for years.
Despite going viral for their cute photo together in November 2022, the media and fans have speculated about a messy overlap in Justin Bieber's previous relationships.
Hailey, married to Justin, and Selena, his former partner, have long faced rumors of strain, although Hailey previously said there were no hard feelings.

In her WSJ Magazine October 2025 cover story and podcast appearance, Hailey addressed the ongoing drama with Selena Gomez, explaining that she and Justin Bieber were never romantically involved while he was with Selena.
She explained: “It's not my character to mess with someone's relationship – I would just never do that. I was brought up better than that.” Acknowledging that the timeline could look complicated from the outside, Hailey added, “I understand how it looks from the outside, but there was never any overlap.”
When asked about her thoughts on where Rhode would sit next to competitors in Sephora, Hailey replied, “I think there's room for everybody. I don't feel competitive with people I'm not inspired by.”
This then sparked new rumors, with Selena responding to her Instagram stories on October 17, asking fans to “just leave the girl alone.
“She can say what she wants. Does not affect my life… Be nice. All brands inspire me. There is room for everyone.”
March 2023: Justin's birthday
Following another statement defending Taylor, the drama reached a climax when Selena announced that she will take a break from social media, “I'm too old for this,” she told fans in a TikTok live.
Fans went crazy looking to the singer's 29th birthday for proof of “which side” he was on.
And it was a little suspicious that in over 24 photos that Justin posted, only 2 included his wife – and he was angled away from her / not smiling in her.
Fans also pounced on another photo of Justin showing off his tattoos, which happened to include the ink dedicated to ex Selena Gomez.
While the photos weren't “hard evidence” — just proof that fans will jump on literally anything to find a story, the drama didn't stop there.
@poptingz posted a photo on Twitter revealing the souvenir guests received. On the gift were the words, “I'm so thankful I didn't come away with what I thought I wanted.” And fans. went wild
February 2023: Eyebrows and … Taylor Swift?
There seems to be no end in sight to this messy public feud. Hailey continued to spark fierce rumors after taking part in another shady jab at Selena. And this time the Jenners are involved again.
After Selena posted a video of a failed attempt to laminate eyebrows, Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber immediately seemed to join the hate train. Kylie posted a now-deleted Instagram story of herself and Hailey on FaceTime with only her eyebrows showing. Coincidence? Fans don't think so.
To add to this messy back and forth, Selena also took to the comments of a TikTok video to defend her bestie Taylor Swift after she was also overshadowed by Hailey.
January 2023: Hailey and Kendall create a TikTok
Accept TikTok in January, Ms. Bieber posted a video with Kendall Jenner and another friend lip-syncing to the sound, “I'm not saying she deserved it, but God's timing is always right.”
The since-deleted video sparked a wave of controversy, as Selena was then brutally body-shamed after a vacation paparazzi photo.
Finally responding to the criticism in mid-February, Hailey responded to a drama post, writing, “I never comment on this kind of stuff, but we were just having a girls night and did a random TikTok sound for fun. It's not aimed at anyone.”
Selena also chimed in after another post discussing the drama, writing, “It's ok! I don't let these things get me down! Be nice to everyone! X”
Instagram story monologues
Both Hailey and Selena took to Instagram in late March 2023 to call for an end to the internet drama. Selena made the first move, begging fans to stop harassing Hailey.
“This is not what I stand for,” she wrote. “No one should have to experience hatred or bullying.”
After Selena defended her, Hailey also took to Instagram to share a message, praising Selena and speaking out against bullying.
“Her and I have been discussing over the last few weeks how to transition this ongoing story between her and I,” Hailey wrote.
