Barkley on Monday rejected the idea that defensive focus on the running game explains the decline.
“We have some guys there,” Barkley told reporters. “We've got homies up front. I feel like a homies. We're making plays. We're just not getting the job done. I'm not getting the job done. I own the running game.”
Philadelphia improved to 5-2 and reclaimed first place in the NFC East heading into next week's game against the Giants at Lincoln Financial Field.
