The conversation all started when Alix's podcast, Hot Messwas dropped by Alex Cooper's Unwell Network in February, following its 2023 launch.
The split sparked chatter after fans noticed Alix and then skipping Unwell's Super Bowl party, even though she was in New Orleans at the time.

While none of the podcast hosts have commented on the feud, eager fans have noted a few public moments that make them question the couple's friendship.
On October 14, 2025, Alex Cooper shared a recap video of her Unwell live show with the music Circus by Britney Spears.
Ironically, the song choice was the same that Alix Earle performed during her first dance on Dancing With The Stars.
Earle fans were quick to comment, “I just came here to say I love Alix Earle,” wrote one.
“This is exactly how I would act if I were jealous of someone else's successes.”
“aw i love Alix Earle too!! ur obsessed ❤️,” another wrote.
Cooper captioned the video with the phrase, “How much time do you have?”, which was a direct reference to a comment Earle made in August.
In August 2025, during a TikTok video where Earle discussed her astrology app's suggestion of “revenge,” a fan commented, “Yeah, tell us what happened to Alex Cooper, thanks.” Earle responded with, “How much time do you have?”
Why did Alex drop Cooper Hot Mess of their company?
Alex Cooper has not confirmed the reasoning on why they dropped Hot Mess from Unwell, but accordingly VariationThe company “surrendered all rights” to the show.
Earle later shared with her followers that she was unable to get her podcast set up on a new network, prompting Cooper to respond via Instagram.
“Hi, I see your comments. Alix not being able to podcast has nothing to do with Unwell. I know why she can't / what's going on. Unwell gave her back everything she has her IP.”
Us Weekly also shared that sources said the tension between the two stemmed from business disagreements.
One insider claimed that “Alix felt taken advantage of,” while another said Earle's father stepped in to oversee her business moves and “didn't like what Unwell was doing.”
Is Hot Mess back as a podcast?
After a gap of 4 months, Hot Mess back in June 2025, the podcast relaunched as a video-first “vlogcast”, dropping fresh episodes on YouTube and Spotify.
