Cody Rhodes is set to defend his title at the 41st edition of Saturday Night's Main Event on November 1, 2025. The event will feature high-profile matches, and at least one new champion is guaranteed to be crowned at the event, after Seth Rollins had to vacate his world championship due to injury.

The event will also see Drew McIntyre challenge Rhodes in a Wrestlepalooza rematch. Wrestling Veteran Bill Apter believes it's finally time for Drew McIntyre to get what he deserves and reign supreme with a world title, after having long deserved one.

Speaking on the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Unwritten, Apter was asked if McIntyre would win the Undisputed WWE Championship at SNME. He responded by stating that he wanted this to happen and also wanted to see a gradual turnaround for the current champion, Cody Rhodes.

“I want to see that. I'm absolutely not sick of Cody, but I want to see that. Give Drew his due, that would have been a good magazine headline. Yeah, I want to see Drew do that, and I want to finally see a slow heel turn on Cody Rhodes,” Apter said.

Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes have been involved in this heated rivalry for several weeks now. The Scottish Warrior failed to dethrone Cody at Wrestlepalooza and will now get a second chance at SNME. If Drew ends up winning the title this Saturday, he should consider himself extremely lucky.

The two-time WWE world champion he was not originally planned to face Cody at the event. The American Nightmare was supposed to face Jacob Fatu, but the former US champion had to undergo dental work, ruling him out of the event.
