Huda & Louis Russell Giggle Over Fan Calling Olandria A Slur
Huda Mustafa is trying to control the story after fans caught her giggling over some insanely disrespectful Olandria hate.

UPDATE: Olandria has responded to Huda's latest stunt, urging her former boyfriend to put her money where her mouth is and do something more than a “surface level” apology. She encouraged “those waiting in the stream,” without mentioning Huda or Louis by name, to donate to organizations “dedicated to educating and uplifting this community.”
“I do not accept racism of any kind, nor do I entertain it. That kind of language is never acceptable. Not in anger, not as a joke, not ever,” Carthen began. “Defending, laughing about it, or making excuses is getting worse. I will not let this moment defeat my goal of uplifting my community. I stand firm in who I am and use this as an opportunity to call for real accountability and awareness.
She continued, “While I predict that this will result in surface-level apologies that will disappear in a few days, I would like to turn this moment into some actions. I encourage those who have been waiting in the stream and their followers to demonstrate a real commitment to anti-racism by donating to organizations and foundations dedicated to educating and uplifting this community, such as the College, UNCF, and Thuoodr. I will also make a personal donation.”

The Love Island United States star was live with her boyfriend, Perfect Matchh alum Louis Russell, when she answered a call from a viewer. The caller, who sounded like a child, came on the line and said “Olandria is a ****r,” referring to Huda's Love Island USA cast member, Olandria Carthen.
As the pair immediately hung up, they both burst into laughter, smiling at each other before seemingly realizing they weren't supposed to.
“Woah, hey, hey,” Russell said, to which Mustafa added, “Shoot that s**t out.”
The pair both seemed to clearly hear what the fan was saying, but in an apparent attempt to damage control, Huda began to act confused, asking: “What did they say? They said a bad word.”
Both Huda and Louis took to their Instagram stories to respond to the backlash they're receiving from the shocking moment, insisting they didn't hear what was said in the phone call.
“First of all, click bait with the help of a sensitive topic is actually crazy,” Mustafa began. “Me and Louis didn't hear what was said in that no said id call live, just the racial slur we immediately hung up. I don't accept anything of this kind.”
She continued, “I really don't condone racism, that's why it got hung up right away. Again, we didn't hear it very well considering it sounded like a child, just the last resort. I just wanted to address this before it blows out of proportion.”
Huda went on to post another story to explain the laugh, writing: “the laugh was also because it was AWKWARD, like who the heck says something offensive like that on a call on his live and like you can hear me say 'what did they say?' and 'they said a bad word' because that's ALL I heard was the bad word. it was awkward and inappropriate, who said it's wrong.”
In his own story, Russell doubled down on his girlfriend's statement, insisting that they didn't hear Olandria's name on the call and “all I understood was the slurrr.”
“I really hate the loveisland fan base and as a black man who has experienced enough racism my whole life, I don't even want to give the person who said the sluice the satisfaction they get from this, but I have to come here and say something because it was not what we heard.”
This isn't the first time Huda has been associated with fans throwing racially insensitive comments Olandria's way.
At the beginning of their season of Love Island USA, Olandria and Huda formed a quick friendship, but after filming ended, that friendship disappeared. Olandria and Chelley Bissainthe both followed Huda on Instagram after her performance Name her fathera decision she explained at the reunion.
At the time, Chelley and Olandria revealed that they asked Huda to post a statement to her followers condemning the racism they received (and continue to receive), per Distractifyespecially when Olandria's face was put on George Floyd's body in a viral meme. Olandria said Huda agreed to do it but never did.
Olandria went on to say that Huda's lack of online support for her crushed her because they were so close during the show. When asked why she never posted anything to condemn the racism her fans spewed at her black castmates, Huda said it was because she was so busy.
