Talk with KSL News Utah, CM Punk noted that he recently celebrated his 47th birthday. The popular WWE star said many people would consider his age a detriment in the professional wrestling business, but he felt like he was doing the best work of his career.
“I'm fortunate to continue to progress in this business. I just turned 47 the other day, and some people would say that's a detriment; I think it's one of the most positive things about me. Jim Cornette Slams WWE Booking of CM Punk
Wrestling icon Jim Cornette recently criticized the company's booking of CM Punk ahead of his title match at WWE Saturday Night Main Event.
Speaking on the Jim Cornette Drive Thru podcast, the legend noted that Punk and Uso were babyfaces at present. He said he hated rivalries with multiple babyfaces because it forced the WWE Universe to choose sides.
“They're stuck in a position where these guys are the two to crown the new champion. I don't think they're changing Punk. I'm not sure what they're doing with Jey. I hate when multiple babyfaces are sniping at each other. It makes people pick and choose and hurt someone's aura or stand in the pecking order,” he said.

It will be interesting to see if Punk can defeat Jey Uso in Saturday night's main event to become the new heavyweight champion of the world.
