Real reason behind Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer split
Comedian and actress Amy Schumer and chef Chris Fischer have announced the end of them seven years of marriage.
In a statement on InstagramAmy confirmed that she and Fischer have decided to separate, but emphasized their continued respect and commitment to co-parenting their 6-year-old son, Gene.
“We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son,” she wrote, stressing that the decision was amicable and asked for privacy.
While speculation has been rife on social media in recent weeks, multiple insiders say the reasons go beyond what has been cited in rumours.
According to sources close to the couple, the marriage had been under strain for some time due to tensions over Schumer's career path.

Why did Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer break up?
After her breakout role in Train wreck (2015), Schumer's professional life slowed down when she chose to focus on motherhood after the birth of Gene in 2019. According to the sources, she now wants to revive her career in 2026, a goal that puts pressure on her personal life.
“10 years after the Train wreck high and success that started giving her the career she expected for herself, she's looking to get that back and see if lightning strikes twice for a big movie career,” the source said The Daily Mail.
“With those career goals and being a mother, she didn't focus much on her marriage to succeed.
“But that's the life she's chasing, and the life she's chosen to take into the new year. She's realized you can't have everything and the thing that hurt the most was her marriage. Now she's trying to figure it all out one day at a time.”

How long were Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer married?
Long-running rumors about problems in the marriage preceded the official announcement. In recent weeks, Amy has been seen without her wedding ring, deleted almost all photos of the couple from her Instagram, and made cryptic comments about her personal life.
The couple married in February 2018 and quickly became known for their supportive dynamic, with Fischer even accompanying Schumer on-screen for culinary projects.
