LeSean McCoy pours cold water on Trevor Lawrence hype train amid Jaguars QB's recent exploits

However, two-time Super Bowl winning running back LeSean McCoy isn't buying the hype.

“The problem is, you're prisoners of the moment. Every time something good happens, you all jump on the bandwagon. I don't do that. The thing about Trevor Lawrence is this: He's the kind of guy who could be one of the trashiest 15 QBs in the league, and then in the very next half of the year, he'll be one of the 10 QBs in the league.”

“He's on a roll now, but if he gets to the playoffs and it stinks. Don't be surprised,” McCoy said on Speakeasy.

Trevor Lawrence is having one of the best periods of his professional football career. The Clemson Tigers product has 1,082 passing yards, 12 touchdowns and no interceptions in his last four games. He played a crucial role in the Jaguars' six-game winning streak.

Lawrence finally appears to be living up to the promise of his years with the Clemson Tigers. The pocket passer won a national championship and numerous individual honors at the collegiate level. He now looks to guide the Jaguars to a deep playoff run in year five.
