There is three ways to play Hytale with your friends. You can either join their world, invite them to join yours, or host a dedicated online server for multiplayer gaming. Let's take a look at the steps for each method:

Invite friends to your game

  • Launch into your single player world first.
  • Press Esc key to pause menu and select Play online.
  • To fall over Allow other players to join On. Additionally, you can even set a password for the game and activate Include password in sharing code for the comfort of your friend.
  • Click To safeguard.
  • Hytale automatically handles UPnP router negotiation, generating a share code with your IP, NAT type, and connection status. Just tap Copy to clipboard and send the code to your friends to join.

Join your friends' games

  • From the main menu, go to Servers.
  • Click Join via code.
  • Paste the host sharing code and enter the set password.
  • Press Connect to teleport and teleport you to your friend's world.

Play on dedicated servers
