Bukayo Saka has once again shown why he is one of the most admired figures in English football, taking the time to donate more than a thousand school uniforms to families with the cost of living crisis.

Originally from Ealing, Saka offered uniforms to four local schools, including Greenford High, where he studied as a youngster.

The winger of the Arsenal and England visited the school personally to surprise the students, posing for photos, report autographs and help distribute the uniforms to those who need them.

Sharing images of the day on Instagram, Saka wrote: “Day Special Day return home to launch our school uniform project. Thank you to all schools, our partners and all those who helped us give to students.”

In 2022, Saka received the freedom of the Ealing district in recognition of its sports achievements and its positive influence on young people, following its exceptional performance at UEFA Euro 2020.

Meanwhile, outside Greenford High stands a striking wall of Saka, painted in 2021 with the suggestion of a student, celebrating his ascent of the local schoolboy to the football star.

It is clear that the Ealing community likes Saka – and he likes it right away – using its platform to inspire both on and off the field.
