Across the Country and Back: Americana’s New GM Returns to his Northern Arizona Roots
Nez leads a 12 employees and four managers staff.
Dominic nez, the new general manager of the American Management of Flagstaff of Flagstaff, says he came into the hospitality industry because of a late lunch and serendipity.
Nez was interested to become an accountant. That plan went out of the classroom window, when he attend in the interesting sessions on the curious university 25 years ago. After a late lunch with his mother was the only session remaining that afternoon for the school of hotel and restaurant management.
Professor Jon Hales “sold me on hospitality and he became my mentor and counselor. It worked perfectly for [me]”Said Nez, who has a long cv with hotel management jobs in Phoenix, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Florida and over the southwest.
“Until that point I had always dreamed to see the world and was pleased to find a career path that would do me exactly. “
Nez was director of operations to the United States open, after the renovated hotel opened in July 2023. He was appointed general manager replacement this spring. Nez leads a 12 employees and four managers staff.
