Andre Onana was involved in physical confrontation after the defeat of Cameroon

Andre Onana has endured a turbulent spell in Manchester United since his arrival two years ago, and now the critics have followed him to international duty with Cameroon.

The goalkeeper made an expensive error in his country's shock against Cape Verde, not having left his line to close the Dailon Livramento. The striker calmly calmed at home in the 54th minute, giving Cape Verde a 1-0 surprise victory.

Frustration boiled after the match when the fans stormed the field. A supporter approached Onana from behind, the phone in hand, seeming to film or take a photo. The goalkeeper reacted with anger, pushing the fan with his hand connected to the support of the supporter – an incident captured by another spectator recording forward.

The fan responded by launching a bottle of water towards Onana before being launched.

The flashpoint comes at a time of upheaval for the 28 -year -old, Manchester United having recently signed the Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

A move to the Turkish team Trabzonspor is now finalized, the two clubs having concluded an agreement before the international break.
