Galatasaray 1-0 Liverpool: Reds defeated in Istanbul

The poor Liverpool week continued with the defeat in the Champions League in Istanbul Aas Galatasaray won a 1-0 victory during a troubled evening for Arne Slot.

The Premier League champions were poor throughout and also lost key men because of the injuries, while goalkeeper Alisson and striker Hugo Ekitike came out.

Slot played Dominik Szoboszlai on the right back with Jeremie Frimpong on the wing as he surprisingly left Mo Salah on the bench alongside the record signature of Alexander Isak.

Szoboszlai then conceded a penalty with a defense of Slack and Victor Osimhen converted.

Salah and Isak survived in the second half, but Liverpool looked short of ideas.

They had almost yet another late stay when a penalty was granted for a fault on Ibrahima Konaté – but Var overthrew.
