Love rat Vinicius Jr issues groveling apology after Real Madrid star caught messaging another woman

Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr has sent a humble message of apology to a Brazilian influencer he was romantically involved with after he was caught exchanging messages with another woman.

The Brazil international, who is expected to play for his country against South Korea tomorrow, was spending time with Virginia Fonseca, 26, a mother of three. Fonseca had even traveled to the Spanish capital to watch Vinicius play for the 15-time European champions, with Brazilian media speculating that the two men were now an item.

And although the winger denied their relationship was that far along, he still took to social media today to apologize to Fonseca after Italy-based model Day Magalhaes revealed a series of messages she received from Vinicius.

The former Flamengo star wrote on his Instagram story: “We all go through moments that make us think and grow.

“Recently, I experienced a situation that made me reflect and recognize attitudes that did not represent who I wanted to be or the type of relationships I wanted to build.

“Virginia is an incredible woman, an admirable mother and someone for whom I have enormous affection and respect.

“Since we met, she has come to Madrid three times to see me, leaving behind her routine, her commitments and her life just to be with me. I met an admirable mother and an incredible partner.

“Even though we weren't officially a couple yet, there was a sincere connection.

“I'm not ashamed to admit that I was careless, that I didn't respond in the best way possible and that I disappointed her.”

Vinicius hopes for reconciliation

Vinicius hopes the two can reconcile and rekindle their relationship, adding: “That's why I want to apologize publicly, with an open heart, because I understood that a real relationship only exists when there is respect, trust and transparency.”

“The idea now is to start all over again. No lies, no fights, no masks. With lots of love, affection and respect.”

Vinicius has also had problems on the pitch in recent months, with his form dropping after being snubbed in favor of Rodri in the 2024 Ballon d'Or vote.

He did, however, scoring twice for Madrid in the weekend's win over Villarreal.
