Scotland boosted their 2026 World Cup qualification hopes by coming from behind at Hampden Park to beat Greece 3-1 in qualifying.

Greece won 3-0 at Hampden in March, condemning Scotland to relegation from the Nations League, and they dominated for long periods on Thursday.

The visitors took a deserved lead in the 62nd minute through Kostas Tsimikas, but Ryan Christie responded almost instantly with an equalizer against the run of play.

And Hampden was delighted when Lewis Ferguson completed the turnaround by heading home after Greece failed to clear a free-kick. Lyndon Dykes then added the finishing touch in injury time after a terrible error from Greek goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis.

Scotland are level on seven points with Group C leaders Denmark, while Greece are four points further back. A win against Belarus on Sunday, combined with a defeat for Greece in Copenhagen, would guarantee Scotland at least a play-off place.
