Since he played in ChelseaDuring Barcelona's 3-0 win over Barcelona, Estevao saw his playing time reduced. “3rd game in a row, sigh. Estevao deserves a better tbf.”
Another tweeted:
“Estêvão still bench 😭😭”
“Even more Estevao in the starting 11,” another echoed the same sentiments.
A fourth asked:
“What is Maresca’s problem with Estevao??”
“Why doesn't Estevao start? Maresca wants another defeat or something?” another intervened.
What Enzo Maresca said about Chelsea vs Everton
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has admitted it is important for his side to get the better of Everton when the two sides clash on Saturday. The Blues have failed to win any of their last four games and need to turn a corner as quickly as possible if they are to mount a title challenge against league leaders Arsenal.
Speaking in a press conferenceMaresca was asked how important it was for them to beat Everton, to which he replied:
“Yeah, for sure it's important. But all the games, they're important. I think Bournemouth was important. The next one we have Cardiff and then Newcastle. They're all important. So if we can beat Everton tomorrow, that's much better for us. If not, we keep trying and see how we can do better.”
Ahead of the clash, Chelsea sit fifth while Everton are seventh in the Premier League table.
