The end of Marty Supreme begins with Marty traveling to Tokyo for a rematch against his rival, Japanese champion Endo. Earlier in the film, Marty had lost to him and felt humiliated. Marty takes part in an exhibition match organized by businessman Milton Rockwell. Even though the match is just a spectacle, Marty treats it like a real war.

The match is intense. At one point, Marty is told to lose on purpose to help Milton's business, but Marty refuses to start the game. He plays with everything he has and beats Endo. This victory is a big moment for him because it proves that he is truly the best, even if the match was not part of an official world tournament. For the first time, Marty feels like he's earned the respect he's always wanted.

Right after his big victory, Marty calls home and learns that his former girlfriend, Rachel, gave birth four weeks early. Despite his fame and the money he has just made, Marty realizes he has to be there. He quickly found a flight to return to the United States. To get home faster, he even boards a plane full of returning soldiers, showing how desperate he is to reach New York.

When Marty arrives at the hospital, he goes straight to the nursery to see the baby. Marty Supreme ends with a long close-up of Marty looking through the glass at the newborn. At first he just watches, then he starts sobbing uncontrollably. Although the film does not make it clear whether Marty is the biological father, it is evident that he considers the child his own.

The ending shows a change in Marty's character. Throughout the movie, he only cared about winning games and making money. Seeing the baby makes him realize that he now has real responsibilities in life. Marty Supreme is loosely based on the real life of Marty Reisman, a legendary American ping pong champion and “hustler” known for his flashy style and incredible skills.
