Young WWE Star Admits John Cena Match Hurts His Career; swear revenge

WWE Star John Cena just finished his farewell tour this year. However, one young star believes his match against the Cenation leader derailed his career.

Austin's theory is most recent addition at The Vision. The star is seeking redemption after her recent hiatus. Theory was heavily booked at the time, winning Money in the Bank 2022 and even defeating Cena at WrestleMania 39. However, his run fell apart after Vince McMahon left the company.

This week on RAW SummaryTheory detailed how the Cena match affected him. The star noted that he clung to his laurels for too long. Theory felt like he was telling everyone how he beat Cena. The Vision member felt that things would be different now since he planned to move from one realization to the next.

“Yeah, I can admit that. Being the youngest Mr. Money in the Bank, the youngest US champion, beating John Cena at WrestleMania, getting into the US championship, getting out of the US champion. And I was, you know, in a place at the time where I was so clinging to that stuff, you know, and especially the John Cena thing. I don't know how many times I said his name and tried to tell everyone that I had done that. But it's one of those things where I'm at now, mentally, it's like, “Hey, this guy, Austin Theory, beat John Cena. “People should already know that. I shouldn't have to tell you. And that's where I'm at now with things. You're going to see me accomplish things. You're going to see me take what I want. And, you know, I'm not chasing moments anymore. They're going to come to me. And when you see that, you'll know it. I don't need to tell you that.”

John Cena called on Gunther

It was an emotional outing for John Cena during Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13. In his last match, the franchise player faced a unique challenge in the form of Gunther.

Cena withstood the Ring General's initial punishment and fought back with force. After two attitude adjustments, he even looked like he could win the match. However, Gunther hit the champion with a Sleeper Hold, forcing him to finally tap out.

After the match, the entire locker room came to ringside to honor the 17-time world champion.
