Iyanla Vanzant Hosting 2 OWN Specials
We have good news to report, dear. After a successful resurrection, Iyanla Vanzant brings her fixing back to OWN – this time in front of a live studio audience.
The network announced that it has greenlit two new primetime specials featuring the Emmy-winning spiritual life coach to Iyanla: The Inside Fix racked up ratings with Black women. OWN said in a press release that it remains the top cable network among African-American women on Saturdays, with the show solidifying the 8 pm slot as a destination for audiences seeking programming for personal growth.
With that in mind, OWN brings Iyanla's “fixing” to two live recordings.
Production on the specials is scheduled to begin in March, and each episode will feature Iyanla with individuals dealing with personal crises while a live studio audience watches.
OWN says the format will continue her signature approach of “confronting emotional wounds, unpacking family dynamics, and leading participants to what she describes as “within” transformation.
“The response to The Inside Fix has been nothing short of a blessing,” Iyanla said in a statement. “The series is a ministry of healing. Every story, every tear, every moment of truth is a sacred encounter with the human soul. When one soul speaks its truth, the frequency of truth expands through the collective.
